JEA Newswriting write-off competition
At the 2017 JEA convention in Seattle, I achieved a rating of excellent in Newswriting. The competition was a two-hour long, on-site timed write about a local-news topic.
JEA News Editing write-off competition
At the 2018 JEA convention in Chicago, I achieved a rating of excellent in News Editing. The competition was a two-hour long test on AP Style, grammar, current events, and headline writing.
